Our Butterflies.

We planted a butterfly garden. There were hundreds of tiny little seeds and they grew into lots of swan plants. We didn't have many caterpillars but now we have heaps. Some of them have turned into chrysalises and hatched into monarch butterflies. The butterflies are beautiful and very friendly. Do you like our photos of us and the butterflies?
This is what the butterfly looks like up close.

Anzac Day.

We made some poppies to remember all the people who fought and died in the war. We decorated our school sign with them. Some of our ancestors were in the war. Some of them lived and some of them died, so Anzac Day is special to us! "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them."

The Stick Insect.

Taylor found a stick insect outside by the boys' toilet. She showed it to everyone.
Katie wasn't scared to hold the stick insect.
Neither was Daniel.
Makenzy was brave too.
Lucas didn't mind the stick insect crawling all over his arm.
Briana loves creepy crawlies!
Nui likes bugs and insects too.
Taylor let the stick insect crawl up her hand.
The stick insect tickled Jacob.
Some of us didn't want to touch the stick insect, so we just watched it instead!
We put the stick insect on some wood to see if it would change colour. But it didn't!
Finding a stick insect was very interesting. Do you like our photos of the stick insect? Would you like to hold one too?
